A guide to packing your Song:

There are some very important Do’s and Don’ts when properly packing your Song container. The following is a packing guideline which if followed accordingly, will result in a safe loading and storage process.

How to Fill your Song:

  • Protect all items with paper pads, blankets or cloth to ensure the belonging’s wellbeing.
  • Always put heavier items on the bottom and stack lighter items on top.
  • Place heavy items in smaller boxes for easier lifting.
  • Pack the items as tightly together as possible, dispersing the inventory’s weight as evenly as you can throughout the container.
  • Fill boxes completely so they don’t shift when the container is moved.
  • Secure all boxes with tape and label each with a name or list of contents to make it easier to find.
  • And the last thing you need to do is place all important items you will need at the front of the Song container so it is right in front of you when you need it.

Safety always comes first:
  • Do not load more than (WEIGHT) into the Song container. Be cautious and request another Song if need be.
  • Never store flammables or hazardous materials in the container.
  • Avoid storing liquids or anything else that can leak.
  • Keep children from playing inside, on top of, or around the container to avoid any unnecessary injuries. Same goes for you adults.

Breakables:
  • Fragile items are called fragile for a reason. Wrap each item with foam, plastic or paper to guarantee its safety.
  • Dishes should be stacked on their sides with glasses upright, filling any empty space with paper for a tighter, fuller fit.

Furniture:
  • If it’s possible to disassemble, do so. It’ll take up less space in the container, allowing for more items to be stored.
  • Wrap each piece of furniture in blankets to avoid any damage.
  • Enclose all mattresses and box springs in a protective plastic wrapping.

Large Appliances:
  • Clean each appliance and drain out any water to avoid leaks inside the container.
  • Tape all moving parts to the appliance so they don’t damage other items.
  • Keep the fridge and freezer doors open so mildew doesn’t form.

Mirrors and Pictures:
  • Pack each item in its appropriate box, wrapped in protective paper.
  • Never ever lay mirrors flat. That’s how they are broken and glass ends up all over.

Clothing:
  • The best method to store clothing is by packing it in wardrobe boxes with shoes and folded items placed at the bottom of the box.

Books and Important Documents:
  • Place these items tightly in a small box to avoid any damage from shifting.
There you have it. Follow these packing steps and your Song will be safe and secure to be moved wherever you desire.
